Who We Are Looking For:





We are seeking an experienced, driven, and compassionate Registered Manager to lead our Children's Home and ensure the highest standards of care and compliance.





This is a crucial role for someone who shares our commitment to improving the lives of young people and can lead with both professionalism and empathy.





The successful candidate will:




Have a deep understanding of the needs of young people in care, particularly those with social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs.

Possess extensive knowledge of:




o The Children's Homes (England) Regulations 2015.



o The Guide to the Quality Standards.



o Ofsted's Social Care Common Inspection Framework (SCCIF).



o Other relevant statutory legislation, guidance, and good practice within the residential childcare sector.




Hold a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Care/Children and Young People's Services (or a willingness to work towards or currently studying) or NVQ 4 Children and Young People, or an equivalent qualification required for Ofsted registration.

Have established experience in children's residential care, including as a Registered Manager, with a proven record of achieving Ofsted 'Good' and 'Outstanding' outcomes.

Demonstrate excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to build and maintain a safe, positive, and motivated working environment.

Be highly effective in managing staff performance, rotas, supervision, and development, ensuring the home is always well-staffed, compliant, and child-focused.

Have strong financial management abilities, capable of managing budgets and ensuring costeffective service delivery.

Show exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, able to engage confidently with professionals at all levels, external agencies, young people, and their families.

Be experienced in developing and maintaining positive, sustainable relationships with children and young people, using trauma-informed and attachment-aware approaches.

Have a solid understanding of challenging behaviour linked to SEMH and know how to implement effective strategies that promote stability and emotional well-being.

Be capable of working autonomously, while also contributing to a collaborative and supportive team culture.

Be skilled in record keeping, quality assurance, and working with confidential information with exceptional attention to detail.

Be resilient, motivated, adaptable, and committed, able to thrive in a demanding but rewarding environment.

Play a key role in the ongoing development and continuous improvement of the Children's Home, ensuring its vision, values, and high standards are consistently upheld and embedded in daily practice.

Have a strong commitment to ensuring Quality of Life underpins all work with children, young people, families, and colleagues.
