An exiting opportunity has arisen for CHCP CIC to recruit a Registered Manager for Sunshine House. This is a newly developed post which requires an experienced, professional leader to join a well established team of passionate and driven staff. Sunshine House provides short break care to children and young people with very complex health needs, over a 24 hour period seven days a week. It is really important that the successful person is committed to ensuring we deliver the best possible care to the children, young people and families who access Sunshine House, taking into account that each child, young person and family are unique.
Main duties of the job
We are looking for someone who is able to be registered with Ofsted as the Sunshine House Registered Manager, leading the team to meet the quality standards whilst ensuring Sunshine House is a wonderful place to visit, stay and work. You will be registered with a professional body, hold a professional qualification in a relevant field and have a deep understanding of how to meet the emotional, physical, social and communication needs of children and young people- including those with complex health needs, life limiting conditions and profound and multiple learning disabilities.   • Post graduate level Leadership qualification, or equivalent experience or willing to work towards.
  • Degree in Health or Social Care Studies
  • Registration with a relevant professional body (e.g. SWE, NMC, HCPC)
  • Ofsted Registered or willingness to register as a Manager
Desirable
  • Mentorship qualification or equivalent
  • Coaching Qualification
Knowledge

  • Significant knowledge and experience of leading a facility/setting/service for children and young people.
  • Uses knowledge of the service to be able to make decisions on requirements of the service and its development and have experience of working creatively to develop new ways of working that embrace new technologies.
  • Developed knowledge of performance management requirements and process relating to the provision for safe service delivery.
  • Ability/willingness to provide care (including the administration of medications and intimate cares, after further training)
  • Knowledge of the children's home regulations and social care common inspection framework
  • Knowledge of care standards of Ofsted
  • A Woking understanding of relevant regulations and policies such as Children and Families Act, Health and Social Care, safeguarding and person-centred planning
