Registered Manager - Children's Residential Home (NEW Opening)
We're looking for a full-time, on-site Children's Home Registered Manager for our home located in Swindon. As a Children's Home Registered Manager, you will need to take responsibility for managing a children's home, ensuring that high standards of care are provided in line with Children's Homes Regulations 2015.
The successful candidate will know how to make a house, a home. With your guidance, the team will ensure the children/young people living within the home have the very best care, great role models and a place to call home. Our clients Children and Young people are aged between 5-18years old with Emotional Behavioural Difficulties.
Lead the
Ofsted registration process
and ensure regulatory compliance
Manage day-to-day operations, staffing, rotas and supervision
Oversee care plans, risk assessments and behaviour support strategies
Safeguard and advocate for young people at all times
Prepare for Ofsted inspections and deliver Good/Outstanding standards
Build positive relationships with local authorities and external agencies
What We're Looking For
Always ensure that the ethos of the Statement of Purpose is applied.
? Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare or equivalent
? At least 2 years in a Residential Children's Home.
? Experience working with Children who have Emotional & Behavioural difficulties
? Understanding of Children's Homes Regulations 2015 and relevant legislation
? Can evidence knowledge of Reg 44 and Reg 45 reporting.
? Sound knowledge of Children's Homes procedures and relevant issues.
? Demonstrate a sound working knowledge of Child Protection Issues and Procedures.
? Can demonstrate how to develop a staff team to ensure they have clear vision and goals.
? Has a good working knowledge of Children's homes regulations and the Social care common inspection framework.
? Have good knowledge and experience working as a designated safeguarding lead in children's residential home (s)
? Experience of working as a Deputy Manager in a Children's Home or equivalent
? Experience of managing a team effectively
? Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to establish effective relationships with young people, colleagues, and external agencies
? Computer literacy and ability to use management information systems
? Willingness to participate in the out of hours 'on call' service on a rota basis
? A clear and current full driving license is essential
? Ability to multitask and manage effectively in a busy environment

Qualifications

Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care and Children and Young Peoples Services.
