Essential requirements:

Understanding of mental health diagnosis Understand Clinical Risk An understanding and willingness to understand and participate in ACCT reviewsUnderstand and utilise care plans to effectively deliver care to patientsAbility to function within a full multidisciplinary teamGood oral and written communication Ability to deliver group and 1:1 sessions following training and guidanceAbility to develop professional working relationships with a challenging patient group.An understanding of the importance of working closely with patients and their family/friends/carers.Evidence of ability to work within a multi-disciplinary team. You must be a registered Nurse, registered with the NMC. You should possess good interpersonal and time management skills, be a good communicator, organised and able to prioritise and work well as a member of a team. You will be providing mental health support within a prison setting.



You must be able to demonstrate a professional manner at all times to patients, relatives and staff of all levels. Please note applicants will be required to pay for their DBS check. Costs are deducted from salary following appointment. The cost of the DBS application is 26.40 (standard) or 54.40 (enhanced), this cost will be deducted from your salary over the first 2 months of employment.



You are encouraged to enrol for the DBS Update Service. An annual fee of 16 per year applies.
