We are looking for a Registered Mental Health Nurse to join our nursing team to undertake and manage direct care to patients with a variety of acute psychiatric illnesses.

Responsibilities

To administer medication, ensuring that correct administration policies are adhered to. To take charge in the absence of the manager. To actively promote the development of good care practices within the hospital. To assist in the development of individual care plans, promoting independence for each client within the hospital environment. To ensure that care plans are adhered too, are regularly updated, and that individual care reports are written correctly each day. To promote a good working relationship between staff within the hospital and with outside agencies. To promote a team approach, utilising the skills of each staff member to the full.

Requirements

The candidate will be qualified as a Registered Mental Health Nurse, and possess the ability to demonstrate sound and appropriate nursing techniques in the acute psychiatric setting.

The successful candidate will be organised with a proven track record of managing a systematic approach to care plans and the management of risk.

The candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills to maintain the highest levels of quality care and professionalism possible.

This role would suit a newly qualified nurse who has already completed a preceptorship programme.

You must have a current NMC PIN and ideally some experience with severe and enduring mental illness.

The successful candidate will be required to undergo an enhanced DBS and reference check and an offer of employment will be subject to successful clearance.

About Us

The post-holder will be based at Coed Du Hall Independent Hospital, which is set in 50 acres of mature countryside approximately three miles from the small market town of Mold.

Coed Du Hall Hospital is registered with Healthcare Inspectorate Wales (HIW) as a hospital to provide mental health care and treatment to a maximum of 22 persons, whose primary need for hospitalisation is due to mental illness, and who require care, treatment and rehabilitation and may be liable to be detained under the Mental Health Act 1983.
