About the role



As a Registered Mental Health Nurse, you'll be a vital part of our multidisciplinary team, supporting service users through their recovery with person-centred care and clinical excellence

Key Responsibilities:

Providing and supporting nursing care within the ward environment, including acting as a named nurse for a defined group of patients

Assessing, planning, and delivering nursing care in collaboration with patients and their families/carers, ensuring it reflects individual needs and preferences

Accurately observing, communicating with, and engaging service users to assess their needs and evaluate their progress

Promoting and adhering to the DBT model (for DBT unit roles)

Actively participating in quality improvement initiatives and clinical governance processes

Ensuring accessible, accurate communication with service users and families regarding care

Taking charge of the ward where appropriate, ensuring a safe and therapeutic environment

Maintaining high standards in clinical documentation and communication within the team

Working effectively as part of the multidisciplinary team (MDT)



About You



Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) with active NMC PIN

Minimum 6 months post-registration experience in a mental health setting

Confident communicator with excellent clinical and interpersonal skills

Flexible, innovative, and motivated by quality improvement

IT literate and adept at using electronic care systems

Knowledge of NMC standards and commitment to best practice
