We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Clinical Lead Nurse to join our healthcare team. The Clinical Lead Nurse will play a pivotal role in overseeing patient care, ensuring high standards of nursing practice, and leading a team of nursing staff.
To assess, plan and evaluate care of clients, taking appropriate actions to maintain the welfare and safety of clients.
*To undertake direct nursing care of clients as required with regard to own clinical competencies and skills.
Supervise and organise staff workload according to competences from available resources, whilst providing strong clinical knowledge and leadership to ensure highest standards are achieved.
*To maintain effective communication systems and practices throughout the Home.
*Liaise with medical staff, paramedical staff, service departments and statutory bodies in a collaborative manner.
*To liaise with clients, relatives and visitors developing a positive open relationship, maintaining trust and responsibility.
*To administer medications and treatments as prescribed, safely and accurately maintain accurate reconciliation as per company policies and procedures and in line with NMC guidelines.
To ensure safe control of medicines within the home to satisfy legal and statutory requirement's.
*To assist in training and development of staff, including responsibilities for updating own knowledge and skills for the requirements of PREP.
To ensure all staff abide by the legal and professional requirements and standing instructions as apply to the Home including local policies and procedures.
To maintain standards of conduct and address to sustain public confidence in accordance with NMC Codes of Conduct.
Ensure risk assessments are completed, and safe working practices are being followed.
*Being open and transparent to clinical practice.
*Safeguarding people by recognising and responding when anyone might be at risk from abuse but also recognising their limits in asking for help and escalating concerns when necessary.
*Escalating safety concerns and by doing so acting as an effective advocate for those who use the service.
*Reflecting on everyday practice to identify areas where improvements in safety or quality can be made.
*Maintaining accurate and comprehensive records.
*Maintain compliance with mandatory training.
Work in partnership with clients and their families.
Gain consent and as far as possible involve people in decision making.
Willing to undertake further training as required.
