Job Summary


We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Midwife to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive care to women throughout their pregnancy, labor, and postpartum period. This role requires a deep understanding of obstetrics and gynecology, along with the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to ensure the health and safety of both mother and child.

Duties



Conduct thorough patient assessments and physical examinations throughout pregnancy and postpartum. Provide primary care services including family planning, prenatal education, and counseling. Monitor vital signs and fetal development using sonography and other diagnostic tools. Assist in labor and delivery, ensuring safe practices during childbirth. Administer medications, perform suturing, and manage pain during labor as needed. Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Collaborate with obstetricians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop care plans for patients. Participate in discharge planning for postpartum patients, ensuring continuity of care. Collect and process specimens as required for laboratory testing. Stay updated on medical terminology, coding (CPT & ICD), and NCQA standards relevant to midwifery practice.

Skills



Proficient in patient monitoring techniques and vital sign assessment. Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology related to obstetrics and gynecology. Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems for efficient documentation. Skilled in IV insertion, venipuncture, and administering injections as part of patient care. Familiarity with inpatient and outpatient care settings, including NICU experience if applicable. Ability to develop comprehensive care plans tailored to individual patient needs. Excellent communication skills for effective patient education and family planning discussions. Understanding of acute care protocols as well as outpatient management strategies. Pay: 21.00-32.00 per hour
