This role blends hands-on clinical duties with leadership and operational responsibilities, ensuring the clinic delivers safe, effective, patient-centred care. Phlebotomy competence is essential, while IV infusion and PRP experience are advantageous.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Responsibilities
Support the safe delivery of
Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy
, including patient preparation, monitoring during treatment, and post-treatment care in line with HBOT safety protocols.
Conduct thorough patient assessments, record medical histories, and ensure eligibility for HBOT treatment.
Perform
phlebotomy
safely and efficiently while maintaining high patient-care standards.
Provide
IV infusion therapy
when required (if qualified) and assist with PRP preparation and procedures where applicable.
Accurately document all clinical tasks and patient interactions within the clinic's electronic systems.
Maintain infection control standards and ensure treatment rooms and equipment remain clean and operational.
Respond confidently and appropriately to any clinical concerns or emergencies.
Assistant Clinic Manager Responsibilities
Support the Clinic Manager in the smooth daily operation of the clinic.
Assist with staff coordination, mentoring, and training to ensure a high standard of care and service.
Oversee patient flow, appointment scheduling, and adherence to clinic protocols.
Assist with stock control, ordering consumables, and monitoring equipment maintenance needs.
Ensure compliance with UK regulatory standards, including
NMC
,
Health & Safety
, and
Data Protection
guidelines.
Contribute to service improvement initiatives, patient satisfaction efforts, and quality-assurance audits.
Act as a point of contact for patient queries, concerns, and treatment education.
Qualifications & Requirements
Registered Nurse (Adult)
with a valid
NMC (Nursing and Midwifery Council) registration
.
Minimum
2 years' clinical experience
, ideally in an outpatient, wound care, wellness, or HBOT environment (HBOT experience desirable but not essential; full training provided).
Phlebotomy experience required.
IV infusion
and
PRP therapy
experience desirable.
Strong communication skills, sound clinical judgement, and a patient-centred mindset.
Competent in electronic patient record systems.
Ability to manage a varied workload in a calm and organised manner.
Preferred Attributes
