We are seeking a Registered Nurse to join the dedicated team here at Nottingham Road Clinic. The role will be to provide compassionate care and support to patients attending our clinic as well as offering support and guidance the more junior staff. For the right candidate this is an exciting opportunity to work with a respected independent sector healthcare services provider. This role is a full-time, in-person post. Job share, part time schedule is available for the right candidate(s).
Key Responsibilities:
Continuously develop skills and knowledge to remain up to date with the latest regulations in the healthcare industry
Ensure adherence to health and safety policies and procedures to maintain a safe working environment for staff and patients.
Support the team in daily operations, performing tasks as needed to maintain a smooth and efficient workflow.
Key Accountabilities:
Work autonomously and be accountable for his/her own professional actions
Recognise and work within own competence and professional code of conduct as regulated by the NMC.
Undertakes nursing practice at an advanced level using expert knowledge and clinical skills to deliver holistic care to people accessing primary health care services.
Assess undifferentiated patients with a range of acute, non-acute and chronic medical conditions. Take history, make appropriate physical examinations, formulate differential diagnoses and carry through management treatment plans ensuring relevant follow up
Assesses diagnoses and treats patients in surgery, care home or own home who require acute medical attention and refer to appropriate agency as appropriate.
Makes critical judgements of the highest order to satisfy the expectations and demands of the job e.g. first contact with patients presenting acutely and manages care in the presence and absence of protocols.
Advises and supports others where standard protocols do not apply.
Works within professional guidelines and codes of conduct.
Works within all relevant practice policies and procedural guidelines e.g. infection control, chaperoning, risk management.
Undertake telephone triage work and telephone advice calls.
Maintain accurate record keeping in SystmOne (training will be provided, if needed)
Undertake regular medication reviews and medicines management
Support patients to adopt health promotion strategies that promote healthy lifestyles, and apply principles of self-care
