Peebles Care Home is a small, very sociable residential care home in the heart of Peebles in the Scottish Borders, with spectacular views of Tweed Green and the River Tweed. It has recently been beautifully renovated to an exceptionally high standard and has space for up to 31 residents.
Peebles Care Home is a bright, warm care home with spacious lounge and dining areas leading out onto the gardens, and generous rooms with underfloor heating. It is within easy reach of Peebles town centre and its bustling shops, cafes and art galleries, as well as Peebles Eastgate Theatre. It has a friendly, lively atmosphere.
The Role
We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate registered nurse to join our nursing home, working as an integral part of the home care leadership team and role-modelling our values in everything you do. You will lead, develop, and inspire the care team to deliver high-quality, person-centred clinical and medical care, creating a positive and accountable team culture where everyone can thrive. Working collaboratively with other healthcare professionals, families, and colleagues, you will champion open communication, professional growth, and person-centred care to ensure the highest standards of resident well-being
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Care & Health Monitoring
Plan, deliver, and review person-centred care plans in collaboration with the senior care team, residents, families, and external professionals.
Provide specialised nursing care including wound care, medication management etc.
Monitor residents' health through regular clinical observations and act promptly on any changes, escalating concerns appropriately.
Skills & Experience
Strong clinical decision-making and risk management skills.
Knowledge of regulatory requirements (CI, safeguarding, GDPR) and best clinical practices.
Ability to lead and inspire the care team to deliver person-centred care.
Confident in using or learning digital systems.
