Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated

Registered Nurse

to join our care home team. The ideal candidate will have a genuine passion for elderly care, excellent clinical skills, and a commitment to enhancing residents' quality of life. You will play a pivotal role in delivering person-centred care, ensuring the dignity, safety, and well-being of our residents while working closely with a multidisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities

Resident Care:

Conduct comprehensive assessments of residents' health, including physical, emotional, and social needs. Develop and implement

individualised care plans

in collaboration with residents, families, and the care team. Administer medications, treatments, and wound care as prescribed, ensuring strict adherence to protocols.

Clinical Leadership:

Supervise and support

care assistants

, providing guidance on best practices. Monitor and record residents' conditions (e.g., vital signs, mobility, nutrition) using digital care systems (e.g., Nourish, PCS).

Safety & Compliance:

Maintain accurate records in line with

CQC standards

, GDPR, and care home policies. Lead infection control measures (e.g., PPE, hygiene audits) and risk assessments.

Family & Team Collaboration:

Provide empathetic support and updates to residents' families. Work with GPs, social workers, and therapists to coordinate holistic care.

End-of-Life Care:

Deliver dignified palliative care, ensuring comfort and respect for residents and families.

Requirements

Essential:

NMC-registered

(valid pin) with a nursing degree/diploma. Experience in

elderly care

, dementia care, or a similar setting (newly qualified nurses welcome). Knowledge of

CQC standards

and safeguarding procedures. Strong clinical skills (medication management, catheter care, pressure ulcer prevention).

Training in

dementia care

, moving/handling, or palliative care. Familiarity with care planning software (e.g., PCS, Nourish).
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: 24.00-25.00 per hour
