Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced

Registered Nurse (RGN or RMN)

to join our night team at our nursing home in Newcastle-under-Lyme. This is a vital role for a confident

Staff Nurse

with a valid

NMC PIN

and a passion for delivering exceptional

elderly care

.

As a

Registered Nurse

, you will be the clinical lead during the night, trusted to work autonomously and manage complex care needs. If you are an

RGN

or

RMN

with substantial

nursing home

experience and the ability to lead medication rounds independently, we encourage you to apply for this rewarding position.

Key Responsibilities

Provide outstanding, person-centred nursing care to our elderly residents throughout the night. Confidently and safely conduct

medication rounds

and manage complex clinical needs without direct supervision. Work autonomously as the senior clinical professional on shift, using your initiative to make sound decisions. Collaborate closely with the

Deputy Manager

and wider team to ensure seamless, 24-hour care. Conduct thorough assessments, update care plans, and maintain accurate clinical records in line with

NMC

codes. Supervise and support the night care team, providing guidance and mentorship. Uphold the highest standards of care in line with

NMC

codes of conduct.

Qualifications & Experience Required

Valid NMC PIN

as a

Registered Nurse (RGN or RMN)

. A minimum of

3 years of experience

as an

RGN

or

RMN

within a UK

nursing home

or

care home

. Proven experience in leading and managing

medication rounds

confidently and safely. The ability to work autonomously during night shifts, demonstrating strong clinical judgement. A compassionate and professional approach with a genuine commitment to

elderly care

.
