Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse to join our Operating Room team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to patient care and demonstrate exceptional clinical skills in a fast-paced surgical environment. As a vital member of the surgical team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to patients before, during, and after surgical procedures.

Responsibilities

Prepare and maintain the operating room for surgical procedures, ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are available and sterile. Assist surgeons and surgical teams during operations by providing support and ensuring patient safety. Monitor patients' vital signs and overall condition throughout the surgical process, responding promptly to any changes. Administer medications and intravenous therapies as prescribed by the attending physician. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualised patient care plans. Educate patients and their families regarding post-operative care, recovery expectations, and potential complications. Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements. Participate in ongoing professional development activities to enhance nursing skills and knowledge.

Skills

Strong knowledge of patient care principles, practices, and procedures in an operating room setting. Comprehensive understanding of human anatomy to assist effectively during surgical procedures. Excellent communication skills to interact with patients, families, and healthcare professionals effectively. Ability to work well under pressure in a dynamic environment while maintaining attention to detail. Strong critical thinking skills to assess situations quickly and make informed decisions regarding patient care.
