This is a unique opportunity in the Radiotherapy Department in Bristol!
Radiotherapy is delivered to patients on a daily, outpatient basis Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 8:00pm, including Bank Holidays with some Saturday working. The aim of radiotherapy is to cure or provide palliation for cancer patients by using beams of radiation. It can be used on its own or in conjunction with surgery and/or chemotherapy.
In addition to working within the Radiotherapy department, you will also need to become competent to support the teams in both the Brachytherapy theatre and also the Gamma Knife centre. Full training will be given for all these new roles.
Caring for patients with cancer enables you to build relationships and closely follow patients progress, whilst our patients appreciate dealing with a familiar face with an in-depth knowledge of their individual situation and needs.
To be successful in your application you will need to be a Registered Nursing Associate . You will also be flexible and adaptable with good communication skills and an ability to work with different teams.
