The Role



We are seeking a passionate and experienced

Registered Service Manager

to oversee our Swindon service for young people aged 16-18. You will be responsible for the day-to-day operational management of the service, ensuring it meets all

Ofsted regulatory standards

, safeguarding principles, and internal quality benchmarks.

This role requires a confident leader who can inspire staff, promote best practice, and ensure every young person receives high-quality, person-centred support that leads to positive outcomes.

Key Responsibilities



Provide strong leadership, guidance, and motivation to staff teams across the service. Ensure compliance with

Ofsted Supported Accommodation Regulations (2023)

and safeguarding legislation. Oversee young people's care and support plans, ensuring each placement is personalised and outcome-focused. Work collaboratively with local authorities, social workers, and external professionals to support young people's progression. Manage recruitment, supervision, and ongoing training of staff to maintain a skilled and motivated team. Lead on quality assurance, audits, and service improvement planning. Ensure accurate and timely reporting, risk assessments, and incident management. Promote a culture of respect, empowerment, and accountability within the home.

Requirements



Minimum of 2 years' management experience

within a supported accommodation or semi-independent service for young people.

Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Health & Social Care (Children and Young People's Pathway)

or working towards it. Strong understanding of

Ofsted inspection frameworks

and supported accommodation standards. Proven ability to lead teams, manage safeguarding concerns, and drive service improvement. Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills. A genuine passion for improving the lives of vulnerable young people. Must have Enhanced CRB or be eligible for one A valid

UK driving licence

and ability to travel between services when required.
