Registered Veterinary Nurse – Chichester

Chichester, ENG, GB, United Kingdom

Job Description

Independent practice. Clinical freedom. A genuine three day week.

If you are an experienced RVN who loves the work but is worn down by everything that gets in the way of doing it well, this might feel like a breath out you have not taken in a long time.

You want to make a difference. You want to feel trusted. You want a workplace where you are not stretched thin and where your growth matters as much as your output. If that sounds familiar, you are in the right place.

The Opportunity

We are working with an independent hospital-led practice in the Chichester area that has built something rare in the current veterinary world. Their belief is simple: when nurses feel valued, supported and encouraged to grow, patients receive their best care and the team thrives.

This is a role where you will work closely with a highly skilled team across both first opinion and referral cases, with access to advanced diagnostics, medical workups, surgical procedures and rehabilitation. It is a place where you will not be boxed in. Your interests matter, your voice matters and your contribution is something they invest in.

They are not looking for someone to fill rota gaps. They are looking for an RVN who shares their values of humility, respect, empathy, work ethic, honesty, communication and teamwork, and who wants a workplace where those values are lived every day.

Why This Role Is Different

A workplace that genuinely feels different

The clinics and hospitals have been intentionally designed to feel warm, calm and homely. You feel the difference the moment you walk in. The spaces are built for comfort, not chaos, which makes a real impact on both patient care and team wellbeing.

A team built on kindness, equality and collaboration

This is a culture where people are constructive, encouraging and supportive of one another. The team's closeness shapes how they work and how they care for clients. Everyone is treated with respect and patience, including you.

Clinical freedom and varied caseload

You will be involved in first opinion and referral work, covering medical and surgical cases alongside advanced imaging and rehabilitation. You will have the freedom to contribute your ideas, develop your interests and take ownership of the areas you love most.

Growth that is genuinely supported

Whether you are aiming for clinical coaching, a certificate, leadership development or something unique to you, this practice invests in your goals. They know their people are what make them exceptional and they back that belief with action.

Your Journey Here

In Your First Month:

You will settle into the team, learn their systems, understand the flow of the hospital and start to build relationships with colleagues across both the day team and wider services.

In Your First Three Months:

You will be confidently involved in inpatient care, imaging, procedures and referral support. You will begin exploring areas you want to specialise in and have open conversations about your development path.

In Your First Six Months:

You will be a trusted member of the team, contributing to patient care at a high level, potentially starting a funded certificate and helping shape how nursing services continue to evolve.
