Job Title: Full time Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN)



Salary: 27800 - 30000 depending on experience



Location: Spinney Vets Wootton Fields, Northampton

Join our fantastic and friendly nursing team and you will be able to do regular, nurse led, schedule 3 ops days, nurse consulting, including clinics for osteoarthritis, diabetes, renal disease, dermatology (including HT Vista), weight and nutrition etc, as well as dedicated in-patient care. All of which allow you to fully use your nursing skills and develop new ones to progress within the industry leading, Linnaeus nursing career progression framework.

Day-to-Day Duties




Nurse consults.

Helping the vets in theatre with anaesthetics. Schedule 3 procedures. Working with equipment: X-ray, ultrasound, dental X-ray, laparoscopic surgery. Assisting with bigger surgeries, particularly soft tissue surgeries. Working within a team of about 5-6 nurses, 2 PCAs, 5 client care team, and usually 2-3 vets (rotating). No night duties. No out of hours. Stable inpatients are transferred to another site (no overnight care at this branch). Rota: five days a week usually; some prefer 4 long days, some prefer 5 short days; reasonably flexible. Role suitable for newly qualified nurses as there are experienced team members for support and mentoring.
