Job Title: Registered Veterinary Nurse - weekends only



Location: Wear Referrals, TS21 2ES



Job Type: Permanent



Hours: Part time, 20-24 hours per week



Wear Referrals is on the lookout for a dedicated and enthusiastic Weekend RVN to join our friendly and supportive team.

Our hospital is well-equipped and offers a varied weekend caseload covering primary care emergencies as well as Referral, giving you the chance to use and develop your skills. You will be working alongside a team of experienced vets, nurses and client care team who are passionate about delivering exceptional care to both patients and clients.

Your role and responsibilities




The hospital is staffed by 63 highly skilled RVN's 24 hours a day, 365 days a year to provide high level referral and ECC care to our patients. Weekend rota's include a team of 8 RVN, PCA support, Lab tech support alongside interns and Referral Clinician's. The successful individual will have the opportunity to expand their knowledge and skillset.


Daily duties include but are not limited to:

Providing gold standard care to both inpatients and day patients Patientcare and handovers; liaising with clinician and nurse teams Supporting patients under sedation and general anaesthesia during diagnostic and surgical procedures Supporting and nursing critical patients within our ICU Manage OOH triage calls and admissions as directed by veterinary team.

Your skills and experience:

RCVS Registered Veterinary Nurse Experience of delivering exceptional patient and client care Experienced in Primary Care emergency work preferred but not essential
