Registration Processing Executive
Up to 25,800
Fixed Term Contract to October 2026 / Full Time
Stevenage with Hybrid Working
At the IET, making our world a better place starts by creating a better place for our people. At the IET you'll have more than just a job. Our work is exciting and challenging, connecting the people who solve the problems that matter. It means working with us has real meaning and impact, and you'll grow - professionally and personally - in ways you never thought possible. We're also making significant investments in our people, including providing a modern, vibrant workplace and embracing hybrid working.
What you'll be doing
As a Registration Processing Executive, you'll play a vital role in guiding applicants through their Professional Registration journey, ensuring they feel fully supported from the very first enquiry right through to submission. Acting as a trusted point of contact, you'll provide clear, tailored advice to help applicants understand what's required and how to achieve it.
This is a dynamic role where you'll balance independent work with collaborative teamwork, building strong relationships with applicants, volunteers, and colleagues. You'll oversee applicant guidance, manage records, support meetings and webinars, and troubleshoot system issues, all while ensuring accuracy and efficiency across processes.
Whether it's delivering 1:2:1 support, managing Professional Registration Advisor sessions, or helping applicants navigate Career Manager and MyIET, you'll be at the heart of ensuring a seamless and inclusive experience. You'll also contribute to the IET's wider goals by identifying opportunities to improve workflows, reduce lead times, and strengthen engagement across our applicant community.
What we hope you can bring to the role
We're looking for someone with experience in a customer-focused administrative or applicant support role, ideally within a Professional Membership Body or similar environment. You'll be confident working with people at all levels and have the ability to manage multiple tasks while keeping a close eye on detail.
Strong communication skills are essential as the role will involve explaining complex requirements clearly, delivering tailored advice, and collaborating with colleagues and volunteers across the IET. You'll also be comfortable using Microsoft Office and CRM tools, with the ability to learn our IET-specific systems (MyIET and Career Manager).
Experience in processing sensitive information is key, alongside a commitment to delivering excellent service. If you can balance efficiency with empathy, bring a collaborative approach, and have a genuine passion for helping others succeed, we'd love to hear from you.
We'd love to get to know you
Is Imposter syndrome creeping in? Don't worry - we'd rather hear from you this time than not hear from you at all! Read on for a little more information about the role; but also, keep in mind that we're open to discussing flexible ways of working, including reduced hours and working in an agile way, supported by a hybrid working framework that allows you to find the best place to do your best work.
A little more about the role
Act as a key point of contact for UK and international applicants, offering tailored advice and guidance throughout the Professional Registration journey.

Coordinate and deliver webinars and 1:2:1 sessions, handling scheduling, documentation, and follow-up.
Respond to enquiries within agreed SLAs, resolve Career Manager/MyIET issues, and use the Engineering Council portal to manage lapsed applications.
Support IET KPIs by monitoring progress, generating reports, and contributing to process improvements that enhance efficiency and applicant conversion.
Represent the IET at external events, promoting Professional Registration, and apply a strong understanding of UK-SPEC to provide accurate, compliant advice.
A little more about what we're looking for
