Main Purpose of Job

:

Assist With the Coordination of Activity Through RGE's Recycling Centre Primarily Operating the Regrind Machinery Ensuring All Products Being Granulated Have Been Sorted & Segregated Correctly into Material Types To Reduce the Chance of Contamination Undertake The Inputting of Product, By Direct Feed or Loading the Conveyor System Into Machines Alongside Managing the Output of Material Checking the Quality

Responsibilities

Maintain a Clean and Tidy Workplace Following 5S principles. Ensure Between Material Changes a Full Clean Down Is Undertaken To Reduce / Remove The Possibility Of Cross-Contamination Of Mixed material Types. Ensure Daily Safety Check Sheets Are Undertaken & Recorded Before Using Any Equipment Report Any Defects to The Management Team Always Wear Correct PPE - Including Safety Footwear, Eyewear, Ear Protection, High Visibility Vests, Gloves Assisting With the Daily Checking of Scrap Molding's Exiting the Factory & (Or) Arriving On Site, Reporting Any Non-Conformances To Supervision Or Management. Visually Check Product Being Loaded Is Not Mixed Material Types Visually Check Product Being Loaded Does Not Contain Metal Objects The Use of Metal Detector Equipment, Including Reset of Equipment & Removal of Foreign Objects. Using Hand Power Tools to Undertake Preparation Work of Products for Granulation - Example - The Use of A Reciprocating Saw For Metal Ring Removal From Chair Bases Undertake The Emptying of The Dust Extraction Unit Correctly Containing & Disposing of Dust Correctly Assisting With the Loading and Unloading of Empty & Full Material Sacks Onto & Off The Regrind Extraction Frame. Participate In Weekly / Monthly Discussions On Regrind Activity As Required - Reviewing Output Performance Against Company Defined Departmental Targets Support Other Logistics Activity's / RGE Departments as Operationally Required Must work to very high standards of housekeeping at all times to prevent the risk of slips and trips in the workplace Ensure all duties are performed in a safe and efficient manner within the parameters of current Health and Safety legislation (HASAW Act 1974). Understand & carry out individual responsibility. Notify immediately, any accidents, near misses or hazards and assist in any investigation, Use and maintain in good condition, protective equipment provided for personal safety. Always keep the work area clean & tidy and free from obstructions.
