Job Description

The Bermuda Monetary Authority is seeking the services of a skilled and capable individual to work as a Regulatory Brand Specialist within the Corporate Affairs Department. Reporting to the Director, the successful candidate will be responsible for leading and implementing communication strategies to enhance our advocacy initiatives. This position requires a blend of creativity, strategic thinking, and strong interpersonal skills to succeed. It involves engaging with media and other stakeholders to generate positive messaging and branding.

This is a key role for the Authority and the post-holder will be responsible for but not limited to:


Supporting and leading comprehensive strategic communication advocacy programs initiatives to amplify brand messaging and enhance industry education efforts Engaging, building and maintaining strong relationships with key media industry stakeholders to foster brand advocacy Playing a critical role in shaping educational advocacy initiatives Developing high-quality content, social media posts, and positioning articles that highlight key messaging and advocate for the brand Leading, monitoring and executing advocacy campaigns across various channels to ensure maximum reach and impact Analysing the performance of advocacy programs and campaigns, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement Staying abreast of the ever-evolving market landscape to ensure educational efforts are relevant and forward-thinking Leading the creation of content that simplifies complex information of diverse audiences for educational initiatives Working closely with the relevant internal sectors to align educational advocacy efforts with overall business objectives Managing relationships with media and digital channels Participating in external industry events/meetings Assisting with the Authority's internal and external events as needed Performing other related work and special projects as assigned by management in accordance with competencies normally associated with the post

This position requires a proven technical and business background.

Therefore, the post-holder must have:

An MBA or Master's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business or related field and/or equivalent qualification in a relevant field from a recognised institution or professional body. A minimum of ten (10) years' experience in marketing, public relations or related field, of which at least five (5) years should be at a senior level in the financial services sector with a focus on advocacy or customer engagement Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work well with groups of people and individuals and to write in explanatory and procedural styles for multiple audiences Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail Strong content creation and storytelling abilities Knowledge of social media platforms and digital marketing tools Analytical skills to assess campaign performance Project management skills and the ability to multitask effectively Must be a creative and innovative thinker Passionate about building and nurturing relationships Detail-oriented and strong organizational skills Team player with a collaborative mindset
