Job Description

THE ROLE

The School seeks to appoint a conscientious and capable Regulatory Compliance Officer to join our administrative team on a part-time basis at the earliest opportunity. The Regulatory Compliance Officer will hold responsibility for the effective and efficient management of School policies and procedures in accordance with relevant legislation, working closely with the Senior Deputy Head and other members of the Senior Management Team. This includes policy implementation, monitoring, updating, compliance inspection preparation and risk assessments. The Regulatory Compliance Officer will sit on the Health and Safety Committee, which meets termly, and will report when required and provide advice on regulatory matters.

The role requires a well organised and prioritised approach, meticulous attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure and with a minimum of direction. The successful candidate will possess exceptional attention to detail, self management, multi-tasking, and interpersonal skills. Due to the nature of the role, we require flexibility and professionalism along with the ability to work to tight deadlines and to adapt to changing work priorities in a calm and efficient manner. Experience gained within a similar setting, or a similar commercial skill set that would transfer to a school setting would be possible, however the candidate will be expected to get up to speed with all relevant legislation and guidance in a short period of time, in order to be effective at the role. The post holder will be wholly committed to the aims, ethos and values of Yarm School. CONTRACTUAL MATTERS

0.6 FTE (working pattern to be agreed but preferably to include Wednesday). Annual salary from 29,853 up to 33,170 , pro-rata, starting salary dependent on skills and experience. Core hours to be agreed but provisionally 9am to 4pm. Possible contribution to training costs but would need to commit to continuing qualification in their own time. Pension & Life Insurance Scheme Reports to: the Director of Finance and Operations (DFO) Works closely with: HR, IT, Marketing, Senior Management.
