We're looking for a forward-thinking

Reinforcement Engineer

to join our RC Modelling Team at the Explore Manufacturing Design Centre. If you're passionate about digital delivery, low-carbon innovation, and pushing the boundaries of precast design, this is your chance to make an impact.

This role offers the chance to:


Support design for manufacture (DfMA) on major infrastructure projects Collaborate with structural engineers, digital designers, and production teams Drive quality, safety, and efficiency using 2D and 3D CAD tools Be part of our innovation journey as we rethink concrete design for a more sustainable future

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

Developing detailed reinforcement models and drawings for precast elements Driving value engineering to optimise material use and reduce embodied carbon Ensuring compliance with Eurocodes, British Standards and internal detailing standards Supporting product development, training junior engineers, and improving workflows Engaging with stakeholders across design, manufacturing, and delivery functions

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:

Experience in reinforcement design/modelling - ideally within a DfMA or precast environment Strong working knowledge of 2D/3D CAD tools and Common Data Environments Awareness of structural interfaces, lifting/handling design, and manufacturing constraints A commitment to continuous improvement and sustainable engineering solutions A proactive approach to managing design change, quality, and compliance
