What you'll be doing



Lead and develop the equipment reliability culture across maintenance and manufacturing teams Have a hands-on approach to problem solving and implementing maintenance improvements with an ability to coach and guide team members through the process Be responsible for developing and training out Operator Asset Care in the factory areas Be responsible for the continual improvement in uptime through continuous improvement projects Own and lead weekly Cl meeting related to unplanned downtime applying structured problem solving and improvement tools Own, analyse and track asset maintenance data including data quality and completeness Ensure that the factory areas maintenance improvement activities are quantified and reflected in our overall continuous improvement plan Initiate and drive the correction of complex faults ensuring we take the learning and avoid any repeats Be a role model by actively using data and deploying appropriate tools in a structured way Develop and implement maintenance strategies to improve equipment reliability including the content and frequency of preventive maintenance activities Develop or implement tools such as CMMS, Reliability Centred Maintenance (RCM), Risk Based Inspections (RBI), Root Cause Analysis (RCA), PM Plan optimisation Conduct routine inspections of equipment and systems to maintain operational efficiency, identifying faults and implementing corrective actions to minimise downtime. Act as the lead for escalating maintenance or breakdown support from OEM's Provide technical input into the design and installation of new equipment and provide effective maintenance plans (including early equipment management reviews, technical documentation, criticality assessments, Maintenance Operating Procedures

What you'll have



Completed a multi-skilled apprenticeship or have at least five years of hands-on experience Strong knowledge of Mechanical, Electrical and Automation maintenance and be able to demonstrate detailed knowledge of food manufacturing equipment. Previous experience from an FMCG background Knowledge of continuous improvement principles Experience working with a Maintenance Management System (e.g Shire) Able to analyse and understand large volumes of data and turn it into useful insights Understanding of Original Equipment Manufacturer Asset Care guidance and ability to turn that into appropriate preventative maintenance plans Able to demonstrate strong organisational/planning skills Ability to demonstrate driving change and implementing new ways of working. Strong knowledge of reliability principles and maintenance strategies. HNC / HND/ Btech Level or equivalent in mechanical, electrical or Automation disciplines. Experience of training factory-floor colleagues with varying degrees of English literacy Able to influence maintenance team members Able to coach maintenance team to take ownership of equipment reliability Strong facilitation skills and able to delegate to other team members Experience of working with Continuous improvement/lean techniques and practical experience with their application
