Overview

We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cooking and meal preparation, with experience in both catering and restaurant environments. As a Chef, you will be responsible for creating delicious dishes that meet our high standards of quality and presentation, while ensuring adherence to food safety regulations.

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook a variety of meals according to established recipes and menus. Oversee food preparation and presentation to ensure quality and consistency. Collaborate with kitchen staff to plan menus that cater to diverse dietary needs and preferences. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, including proper storage of ingredients and equipment. Ensure compliance with food safety standards and regulations at all times. Assist in the training of new kitchen staff on cooking techniques and food safety practices. Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and assist in ordering as necessary. Engage with customers when required, providing excellent service and addressing any dietary concerns.

Skills

Proven experience in a culinary role, preferably within catering or restaurant settings. Strong cooking skills with a focus on meal preparation and food presentation. Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication skills for effective teamwork and customer interaction. A passion for culinary arts, creativity in menu planning, and willingness to experiment with new recipes.
