Job Summary

We are seeking reliable and dedicated Delivery Drivers to join our team on an adhoc basis. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering goods from our warehouse to various locations in and around Elgin, ensuring timely and safe delivery. This role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to handle heavy lifting as part of the daily responsibilities. A valid clean driving licence is essential for this position.

Remuneration will depend on your position. If you use your own van, a higher rate will be paid. Most weekends are available, but also we need to cover sickness and holidays.

Responsibilities

Operate a van to deliver goods to designated locations. Load and unload items from the vehicle, ensuring safe handling of products. Communicate effectively with staff and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including signatures and any discrepancies. Follow all traffic laws and company policies to ensure safety during transport. Conduct routine checks on the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition. Keep vehicle clean and tidy. Vehicle may be taken home after shifts.

Requirements

Valid clean driving licence (essential). Experience as a delivery driver or van driver preferred. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with team members and customers. Comfortable with heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks. Strong organisational skills and attention to detail. A good understanding of local roads and routes is beneficial.
