Ideal School Meals supply a range of catering services to education settings in Lincolnshire.

We have vacancy for a Relief Delivery Driver to fill in for absences at kitchen sites in Boston, Bourne, Sleaford and Grantham. This is on a relief only basis to cover for staff absences and periods of increased demand. PLEASE DO NOT APPLY IF YOU REQUIRE PERMANENT WORK WITH GUARANTEED WEEKLY HOURS. (There may be opportunity to continue in a more regular position in the future).

You will be responsible for delivering school meals to local primary schools, following set delivery routes and timings. Working hours would vary depending on the route, between the hours of approximately 10.00am-2.30pm, with a short break for lunch. Candidates would require their own transport to travel to and from the kitchen site, with a work vehicle provided for the food delivery.

Are you our Ideal candidate?

You are polite, smart and well presented, with fantastic customer service skills. You are able to follow a set route within the required timescale, accurately checking off items for delivery at each stop. Food hygiene Level 2 is preferred, however, full training can be provided to those who have a good understanding of food hygiene. We would be interested to hear from applicants with some general maintenance experience/capabilities to complete general handyman/caretaking jobs such as painting, drilling, minor electrical and plumbing tasks etc.
This is a physically demanding role which requires a degree of heavy lifting. Please bear this in mind when applying for the position.
