We are seeking an experienced and passionate Relief Head Chef to lead our culinary team in delivering exceptional dining experiences. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food production and hospitality, with a proven ability to manage kitchen operations efficiently. As a Head Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of kitchen management, ensuring that food safety standards are met, and fostering a positive team environment.

Responsibilities

Lead and supervise the kitchen team, ensuring high standards of food preparation and presentation. Develop and design innovative menus that reflect seasonal ingredients and culinary trends. Maintain strict adherence to food safety regulations and hygiene standards. Oversee food production processes to ensure quality and consistency in every dish served. Manage inventory, ordering supplies, and controlling costs to maximise profitability. Train, mentor, and motivate kitchen staff to enhance their culinary skills and teamwork. Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery. Implement new cooking techniques and recipes to enhance the dining experience. Handle any kitchen-related issues or emergencies promptly and effectively.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Head Chef or in a similar role within a kitchen environment. Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, food safety practices, and kitchen management. Excellent supervisory skills with the ability to lead a team effectively. A passion for cooking with creativity in menu development and presentation. Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure. Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with staff and customers alike.

Pay: 29,500.00-33,500.00 per year

Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
