As a Relief Housekeeping Assistant with CrossReach, you will play an important part in creating a clean, safe and welcoming home for older people. By stepping in when needed, you will help maintain high standards of hygiene and comfort, ensuring every space reflects the respect, care and dignity we offer to those who live with us.

What your day could involve

Cleaning bedrooms, bathrooms and shared areas to a high standard Supporting residents to keep their personal spaces tidy and comfortable Working as part of a friendly, supportive team Helping new colleagues learn housekeeping routines Following Health and Safety and COSHH procedures Taking part in training and team meetings when required

About you

You take pride in your work and care about creating a warm, welcoming environment. You are reliable, thoughtful and happy to support others when needed. No formal experience is required, just a positive attitude and a willingness to learn, although experience in a care setting would be an advantage. You will have basic computer skills, be a member of the PVG Scheme and feel comfortable working within CrossReach's Christian ethos, helping to promote respect, kindness and community.

As a Christian organisation, you will need to have a respect for all aspects of Christian worship.


You will also need to become amember of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme and undertake the necessary vetting checks.You will also be required to adhere to the SSSC Code of practice.
