Relief Personal Assistant
Job Description
I am looking for a Personal Assistant to support my 6-year-old son who is non-verbal and has a diagnosis of autism with global development delay. He loves to go to the park, soft play, Science Centre, swimming as well as other activities.
Main Duties:
Provide sensitive emotional support - promoting choice and encouraging new experiences.
Accompany to take part in social and leisure activities as and when appropriate.
Essential Characteristics:
Caring attitude and will treat him with respect and dignity.
Life or work experience with children with autism and additional support needs.
He can, at times, display behaviours that challenge so having the ability, patience and understanding to support him when this happens.
During school holidays hours will vary so the ability to be flexible.
PVG membership will be required.
Desirable Characteristics:
Driver with access to own car would be preferred.

Job Types: Part-time, Zero hours contract
Pay: 14.00 per hour
Expected hours: 1 - 6 per week
Work Location: In person
