Calling all compassionate and dedicated individuals! Mencap is seeking passionate Relief Support Workers to join our incredible team in Easingwold.



As a Support Worker, you'll have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of individuals with learning disabilities. You will be working with a diverse group of people, each with their own unique abilities and needs.



From assisting with daily activities to providing emotional support, you'll play a vital role in their life.

If you answer yes to either of these questions, then you're just who we're looking for to become a support worker at one of our registered services. We are looking to grow our team of dedicated, caring and enthusiastic support workers to enable five individuals we support to live the lives they choose.



If you're looking to support someone who enjoys activities, then maybe you're best suited to our 1:1 support service where you'll be supporting a young man with a different activity every week! Whether it's football, swimming or even making the most of his National Trust tickets, this gentleman has endless energy and a real passion for fun - the Support Worker we're looking for will need to match his passion, or better yet, top it!



If you're looking for the chance to support individuals with the life skills they need to live independently, then we have a service for you too. Supporting our lovely ladies in their home, you will be with them all the way while they go about their day; you'll be their helping hand in the kitchen. You may be supporting one of the ladies out for a coffee - and most importantly, making sure milk is bought on the way home! This service is perfect for someone who wants to see how small acts can mean so much to someone wanting to live as independently as possible.


What we're looking for

:


A genuine passion for supporting others. Excellent communication skills and the ability to build meaningful relationships. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. A positive and empathetic attitude towards individuals with learning disabilities.

Relief

All our services are 24hr care. We prepare the rotas at least 4 weeks in advance so you can still plan your personal and social life!




As a general guide; some day shifts can start from 7.00 am or 9.00 am and can finish between 9.00 pm or 10.00 pm,

these are usually split into 2 shifts. Certain services will also have sleep in shifts or Waking Night shifts as well.
