Mencap are seeking Relief Support Workers to join our incredible team in Omagh.



As a Relief Support Worker, you'll have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of individuals with learning disabilities. You will be working with a diverse group of people, each with their own unique abilities and needs.



From assisting with daily activities to providing emotional support, you'll play a vital role in their life.

What we're looking for

:


Someone who is caring and patient and has a genuine passion for supporting others. Excellent communication skills and the ability to build meaningful relationships Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends and holidays. A positive and empathetic attitude towards individuals with learning disabilities. Supporting people with their finances (paying bills, doing shopping etc.) You will actively be reducing social isolation by supporting to social groups & activities. Personal care - helping people get ready for the day. This will include support with medication and assisting with all aspects of personal care e.g. showering and to use the bathroom.

All our services are 24hr care. We prepare the rotas at least 4 weeks in advance so you can still plan your personal and social life!

Days: are normally 12 hours and start between 7am and 9am Waking Nights: 9.00pm - 9.00am

There is also a non contractual sleep-in available where you will receive an enhanced flat rate payment of 63.70.
