Job Description

A caring and community-driven 11-18 school in Shropshire is seeking a passionate Teacher of Religious Education (ECT) to join its Humanities team from January 2026.
This Good Ofsted-rated school is known for its warm atmosphere, strong behaviour systems and commitment to developing reflective teachers. The Humanities faculty provides structured support and shared resources for new staff, ensuring consistency and confidence from day one.
The Role
You'll teach RE across KS3-KS4, exploring religion, philosophy and ethics in engaging, discussion-based lessons. The curriculum encourages critical thinking, empathy and understanding of global perspectives.
Support for ECTs
You'll be supported by a dedicated mentor and a collaborative team who meet weekly to review planning and student progress. Reduced contact time and clear guidance make this a great first post for a reflective practitioner.
