About Kat & Co:

Kat & Co is Birmingham's leading plastic surgery day clinic. Our purpose-built Cosmetic Surgery and Aesthetic Clinic is located on Calthorpe Road, within the heart of the Edgbaston Medical Quarter, Birmingham. We offer a range of services including surgical and non-surgical treatments.

In 2025, Kat & Co became part of Pall Mall Medical, a leading hospital and medical facility in the North West with exciting growth plans for the future.

Our purpose is to provide on-demand, high quality private healthcare and cosmetic surgery that meets the needs and expectations of patients and our vision is to be recognised and respected as the most patient-centric private healthcare provider in the north-west, by providing our patients with the best possible care, treatment and outcomes.

The role:

It's an exciting time for us, we are growing quickly and engaging more patients (customers).

We are looking for a dynamic, tenacious and customer-service & sales orientated person to become our next Cosmetic Surgery Patient Coordinator.

Kat & Co provide a wide range of procedures & treatments including: breast augmentation, breast reduction, abdominoplasty (tummy tuck), rhinoplasty and much more.

As we plan to continue the growth of our cosmetic surgery activity, we are looking for someone new to join the team!

The key to success:

Previous experience within a Cosmetic Surgery / Private Healthcare role is desirable but not essential and full training will be provided.

The Cosmetic Surgery Patient Coordinator plays an essential part of the patient journey, acting as the key point of contact for patients from their initial booking through to the moment they proceed with surgery.

Day to day life as a Surgical Patient Coordinator is varied, including "introduction calls" to build rapport with patients and continuing to support and guide them through their journey (providing quotes, arranging surgery, organising pre-op care, etc.) and following up on patients who still have unanswered questions after meeting the surgeons.

It is essential that applicants have the following:

Excellent interpersonal & customer service skills - our Surgical Patient coordinators play a crucial role in the decision-making process for our patients. Coordinators need to build a strong rapport with patients, based on trust, empathy and helpfulness. You will need a dazzling personality or "pizazz" to succeed in this role! Strong organisational and planning skills with excellent attention to detail - there are lots of steps a Coordinator must go through for our patients: payments, consent forms, pre-op assessments, surgeon notes and more!Tenacity, creative problem-solving and a relentless "can-do" attitude - our team bend over backwards to help our patients! This is why we get so many 5-star reviews - we truly go the extra mile Empathy and listening skills - many patients opt for surgery because they suffer from low-confidence or they are in pain. It is crucial for the coordinator to be able to work with the patients to understand the desired outcome of surgery and what is the best way to help them achieve it Willingness to work flexibly in and out of hours, including weekends. Many patients have busy day jobs and the best time to discuss dates and quotes (and secure the booking) is in the evening or over the weekend. Whilst we'll schedule your working days, we'll let you manage your own time. Ultimately - you'll find the rhythm that works for you, your patients and the surgeons... Excellent communication skills (written & verbal) Ability to follow procedure and be a team player

Bonus skills:

Whilst it is not a necessity for the role, candidates who can demonstrate the following may have an advantage in carrying out the role of a Surgical Patient Coordinator:

Demonstrable sales skills - ideally in a high ticket / considered-buying cycle B2C environment (for example beauty, hospitality, travel & tourism, etc). Social media fanatic! - a lot of enquiries come via Facebook or Instagram. Coordinators who can turn a simple message into a consultation are likely to have a much higher conversion rate. This also helps when trying to obtain photos & results from patients who have already had their procedure (we call this "patient selfies"!) Previous experience of cosmetic surgery either as a client or a patient coordinator - whilst we will provide full training on all procedures & protocols, patients tend to relate very well to coordinators who have been through the journey already! It also means you can hit the ground running when you join us!

Good luck! We hope to meet you soon.

Application question(s):

Q1) Where are you working now and why are you looking for a new opportunity? Q2) What makes you want to join Kat & Co / Pall Mall? Q3) How flexible can you be in terms of hours? (see hours needed below)
As a highly sales focused role, there will be an expectation to follow up with patients in the evenings - after they've finished work.

Our most successful coordinators tend to be the ones who spend the most time talking to patients before and after their surgeon consultations- which can require a greater time investment.

Q4) We are looking to embed the first every Coordinator into Kat & Co. We need someone positive, pro-active and hungry. How does this align to you and your experiences? Where are you based? We are open to either a remote coordinator or an in-clinic coordinator. Which option do you prefer? What package are you currently on and looking for? Base + commission / OTE.
Please note, as with any sales role, it may take a period of time to build a "pipeline". Commission will be based on the date a procedure is completed/performed, not booked.

Do you have any questions for us? Q5) What is your cosmetic surgery experience? (if any).
And, what do you expect a patient considering cosmetic surgery would want and need from a coordinator?
