Remote Self-Employed Legal Assistant
We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Legal Assistant to join our team on a self-employed, fully remote basis. This flexible role allows you to manage your schedule, with some tasks able to be completed at your convenience (early mornings, evenings, or weekends) and others requiring completion within a few hours.
Key Responsibilities:
Opening and closing client files
Transcribing and organising file notes
Preparing and sending invoices
Following up on outstanding payments
Managing bookkeeping tasks using Xero (prior experience with Xero required)
Saving and organising documents in client files
Assisting with the preparation of legal bundles
Performing general administrative tasks to support legal operations
Requirements:
Proven experience as a legal assistant or in a similar administrative role
Proficiency with Xero accounting software (essential)
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Familiarity with legal processes and terminology (preferred)
Access to a reliable internet connection and a suitable home office setup
