Position Overview: Support the end customer by maximising product availability and productivity and minimising total cost of ownership through monitoring and analysis of condition monitoring data. Drive Finning parts and service revenue through the discovery of incremental business opportunities and/ or reduce operating expenses through early problem identification. Remote diagnose and control customer assets as required in contract. Dispatch on-call field service engineers as required. This is a 24/7 service.

Major Job Functions

Reviews, aggregates and correlates all available sources of condition monitoring data to identify trends within equipment & components so as to make recommendations to improve product performance or prevent failure.

Communicates recommendations directly with the end customer and/or key Finning stakeholders as required. Builds positive relationships & acts as a consultant with customers, and key Finning Stakeholders. Provides reports as required to support customer relationships and/or close out recommendations.

Builds history case files for equipment monitored to provide information to service and sales team to support Repair Before Failure strategy.

Support and develop adoption of Condition Monitoring across customer fleets e.g. promotion of Product Link retrofits and is an advocate for Condition Monitoring and Finning Performance solutions.

Reacts to alarms as they happen, following agreed protocol in each instance. This includes escalation of issues as necessary and dispatching field service engineers out of hours.

Accountability

Accountable for delivery of Finsight remote monitoring and control service in accordance with the contracts agreed with customers, and Finsight team AOP by ensuring personal targets are being obtained, highlighting areas of concern and working to address potential shortfalls. Develop and maintain excellent customer experience by working directly with customers and supporting them in their requirements. Be able to use information and customer feedback to drive continuous improvements in our customer experience and business performance. Prepare daily, weekly and monthly reports as required for each asset. Start or stop engines for STOR/DSM per customer contracts, and meet STOR/DSM response requirements. Availability of assets meets contractual obligations for customers, typically 90%-92.5%. Dispatch engineers within SLAs agreed.

Education and Experience

Experience with using Caterpillar applications such as VisionLink, VIMS, SIS, Oil Commander etc. (desirable)
