Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Supervisor to oversee operations within our house move company environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and experience in logistics, ensuring that all processes run smoothly and efficiently. This role requires effective communication skills to lead a team of staff and delivery drivers, ensuring that all tasks are completed in a timely manner. This is a hands on role and you'll be working with the removal men each day and reporting to the managing director.

Responsibilities

Supervise daily operations, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards. Coordinate the activities of van drivers and delivery drivers, including scheduling and route planning. Provide training and support to new staff members, fostering a collaborative work environment. Maintain accurate records of inventory and deliveries, ensuring all documentation is completed correctly. Conduct regular inspections of equipment and vehicles, addressing any mechanical issues promptly. Facilitate effective communication between team members to enhance productivity and resolve any operational challenges. Assist in the loading and unloading of goods, utilising flatbed vehicles as necessary. Implement best practices for warehouse management, continuously seeking improvements in efficiency.

Requirements

Proven experience in a supervisory role within or logistics setting. Strong mechanical knowledge is essential for troubleshooting equipment issues. Valid driving licence with experience as a van driver or delivery driver preferred. Familiarity with commercial driving regulations and practices. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively lead a team. Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. A proactive approach to problem-solving with strong organisational skills.

Pay: 11.44-14.00 per hour
