This is an exciting employment opportunity for a surveyor with experience in preparing and administering housing repair and empty property grants and loans and also disabled adaptations schemes, requiring good communication skills, a commitment to team working and positive attitude to the delivery of high-quality customer focused services.


The Council's Housing Renewal and Adaptations Team is committed to providing vulnerable clients with disabled adaptations and other forms of housing grants and loan assistance to enable them to remain living safely and independently within their own homes.


We are looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated and experienced surveyor to work within the Housing Renewals and Adaptations service, administering housing repair and empty property grants and loans, and also disabled adaptation schemes. You will carry out property surveys, prepare plans and schedules of works for repair and adaptation and schemes, allocating works to contractors, undertaking valuation payments and inspection of works.

You will work alongside a multi-disciplinary team of officers delivering the housing grants and loans annual capital programme.
