Casual Car Documentation- The successful candidate will be a designated Casual Car User which means that car journeys may be necessary on an occasional basis, but are not essential to the role. If you do drive, you must always hold a full valid driving licence and provide your own car for use at work, as well as provide all the appropriate documentation. You will receive an allowance per mile of business use.
The role is within the Rent and Income team. Main duties are to monitor rent accounts for all homeless clients in Homelessness accommodation to maximise income, through rent collection and arrears recovery. The role holder will contact homeless clients via email, text messages, letters and phone calls to discuss rent accounts and payment plans. Each rent officer has a rent patch to monitor the accounts. Escalate legal action according to the rent and income policy and procedures. The role holder will have to attend court on behalf of the team leader to represent the City Council on rent possession cases.
About the Candidate
The ideal candidate will have excellent numerical skills have excellent communication skills. You will also have good time management skills as prioritising the workload is essential. You must be able to work well as part of a team but also be able to work independently. The role holder will need to be able to work on a variety of systems.
