About the role:
The Repairs Commercial Assistant will work across both the contracts and repairs teams reporting to the Head of Repairs & voids, ensuring operational and commercial targets / KPI's agreed in the SLA are met and ensuring contract performance management is being documented.
This role is on a 12 Month FTC and based in our Northampton office with hybrid working arrangements and travel to sites, meetings and the London office as required.
About the role:
Liaise with approved contractors to ensure timely job completion, manage bookings, and support the payment and invoicing process within KPIs.
Collect, analyse, and present data on contractor and team performance, flagging issues and identifying areas for improvement.
Provide administrative assistance to the repairs and voids team, including generating purchase orders, processing variations, and organising meetings.
Build working relationships across the organisation and with external providers to support effective service delivery.
Contribute to the development and improvement of systems and processes to ensure compliance with contractual obligations and enhance service quality.
Undertake departmental projects, suggest innovative solutions, and actively seek ways to improve practices and customer service.
About you
Proven background working with repairs contracts or contractors within housing or related sectors.
Strong understanding of housing, construction, property services, and the affordable housing sector, including regulatory and procurement considerations.
Demonstrated commercial awareness with the ability to identify and resolve issues effectively.
Works well with others, showing flexibility, self-reliance, and a proactive approach.
Competent in using digital tools and platforms including Outlook, mobile devices, MS Office (Word, Excel), and CRM systems.
