Repairs Team Leader - Northamptonshire Partnership Homes



An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Property Maintenance Team at Northamptonshire Partnership Homes.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising the duties of the trade operatives, guiding, directing and actively managing to ensure that effective customer service and repairs are delivered to the approved standards as quickly as possible, consistent with efficient and effective use of all the resources available to the team.

The key responsibilities of the

Repairs Team Leader

include:

- Supervise and mentor a team of operatives to ensure effective performance, productivity and safety.

- Carry out and manage technical inspections and follow on works for complex cases and external works

- Performance managing trade operatives and external contractors through monitoring and analysis of performance data, tracker information and customer feedback.

- Providing prompt guidance, assistance, and advice to front-line staff as and when required.

- Assisting with the pre, monitored and post inspection of properties as required.

- Line managing front-line team members, and dealing with attendance and absence management, disciplinary matters, health & safety, holiday rotas, overtime working, on call arrangements and performance management.

- Acting as an emergency point of contact outside of usual office hours on a rotational basis, being available to attend site to supervise major emergency situations, such as fires, structural damage and flooding etc.

The successful candidate will need to demonstrate the following skills and experience:

- Broad Housing/jobbing technical repairs background and show a passion for working in social housing.

- Experience in managing staff attendance, conduct, discipline, welfare, performance and development, through following documented policies and procedures.

- Good verbal communication skills.

- Takes responsibility for own actions, set high standards for personal performance and shows determination to meet goals.

Experience and knowledge in Carpentry, Brickwork, Roofing & Finishing is desirable.
