The Role:

Are you a talented scientist with a passion for innovation?

Join our liquid inks R&D team in Harlow and contribute to the development of new security ink technologies. We are looking for a chemist/scientist with a background in research and development of functional fluids /coatings or inks to join our liquid inks team based in Harlow.

You will contribute to the evaluation of new raw materials, research and development of new ink formulations, printing and scale up of security inks.

While prior experience in ink development is preferred, we will provide comprehensive training for the right candidate.

Potential career paths from this role are likely to be advancement within the laboratory to more senior technical roles.

Key Responsibilities

:

- Working with a laboratory-based team to design, develop, and improve new security ink products. This includes working with various technologies such as water-based, solvent-based, and UV-curable inks, and using Inkjet printing method for applying the ink.

- To document experimental results and maintain accurate laboratory records.

- To carry out technical work and solve problems for customer enquiries to an agreed standard.

- To carry out routine tasks to maintain laboratory H&S and 5S.

What We Are Looking For:

Strong initiative and a focus on achieving technical results. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Good technical problem solving and practical skills Experience in formulating functional coatings such as ink or paint is preferred. Candidates with a strong scientific background or direct printing experience will also be considered. A degree in chemistry, physics, forensic science, or a related discipline is ideal. However, a lower level of qualification may be considered with relevant ink or printing experience.
