Job Description

The post will be based at the Denmark Hill site within the department of HIV and Sexual Health and Dermatology based within Research Delivery Unit 7 (RDU 7). The post holder will be responsible for supporting clinical trials and observational research studies delivered by the well-established Research team in HIV, sexual health and Dermatology. The post holder will need to be able to work as part of a team and autonomously, providing support to the research nurses and trial co-ordinators as required.



The post holder will be expected to assist the research team in providing general governance and administrative support, data entry and record keeping for any projects where suitably delegated. This includes but is not limited to th e preparation of study visits, monitoring visits, to maintain systems and ensure study documentation is up to date, with the support of the research team. Experience in research governance and GCP is helpful but not essential as training will be provided.



The post holder will be expected to support recruitment to non-interventional studies and carry out study related procedures on several non-interventional studies, under the direct supervision of the Research manager. The ability to work autonomously is important and we welcome innovation to develop and implement new systems with consultation in this role.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities



To support in the delivery of the current portfolio of projects within the HIV / Sexual health / Dermatology research department. To aid the research nurses/study co-ordinators to prepare for study visits To continually advocate and engage clinical staff about research where appropriate To be involved in the set-up of new studies and the maintenance of Investigator Site Files (ISF's) and Trial Master Files (TMF's) as required To support research governance and paperwork associated with the ongoing portfolio of research To support monitoring activities on site and assist with follow-up actions Use a wide range of software including email, spreadsheets, databases and other systems as required Ensure accurate data entry where required To support the departmental initiatives and projects Build and maintain excellent communication and relationships with both internal and external stakeholders Work effectively as part of a team and support them as required Manage and ensure compliance with relevant Trust and Research policies To observe and maintain strict confidentiality of personal information relating to patients and staff To be willing to be trained in sample management and governance
