Research Assistant on Session Types: Theory and Programming Semantics
Fixed-term until 30 September 2026 to start from 1 October 2025
Grade 06: 34,982-40,855 per annum inclusive of Oxford University weighting
We are excited to offer this fixed-term Research Assistant position at the University of Oxford, under the supervision of Professor Nobuko Yoshida. The Research Assistant will be part of Mobility Reading Group led by Nobuko Yoshida. The successful candidate will be located in the Department of Computer Science Reporting to Professor Nobuko Yoshida, the post holder will be responsible for working on either theory or practice on session types. The post holder will be responsible for publishing the results and collaborating with the partners and group members across the projects.
This role is especially suitable for someone with strong formal reasoning and data analysis skills who is considering progression to a PhD or further postdoctoral research in AI ethics, social choice theory, or computational modelling.
This post is based at the Department of Computer Science and on-site working is required. Remote and part-time working options must be agreed with Professor Nobuko Yoshida.
