We are looking for a Research Director who is top of their game when it comes to all things numbers, insight and client impact. You will have ownership of our quantitative offer across the marketing mix - including brand, communications, innovation, strategic and tactical work. We need a commercially minded individual who thrives in a fast paced, diverse, entrepreneurial team and is able to build strong relationships with senior clients to develop new business leads. You will be leading (and growing!) client projects across multiple markets, helping our high-profile clients make sense of ever-changing consumer behaviours with the ultimate mission 'to find truth that drives effective creativity'.

The Role


As a Research Director you will lead work across multiple different categories and markets and work with some amazing clients. Just as importantly you will build strong relationships across the McCann network, working closely with our Business Leadership, Creative and Strategy departments.


The Research Director will need to deliver against the following:

- proactively seek out opportunities to win new business with clients and account teams by building strong relationships and by being entrepreneurial and curious

BE COMMUNICATIVE - write winning proposals by listening to what client wants, but importantly, understanding what they

need

from the research to drive real

change

BE INNOVATIVE - never be afraid to try something different to drive creativity into our work ensuring we see things from fresh perspectives - we have that creative freedom - so use it!

BE COMMERCIAL - take complete ownership of designing profitable projects and run them efficiently so that the margin is

realised

BE COLLABORATIVE - coach our junior team members allowing them space to grow and develop whilst making sure projects deliver against key

objectives

and stay on

track

BE INFLUENTIAL - delight our clients (and the wider business) with outstanding and impactful debriefs that make a

difference

Personal Skills & Experience

An excellent communicator and storyteller - verbally, visually (through impactful PowerPoint presentations) and written word 8+ years experience in an analytically driven marketing role across global accounts A degree that demonstrates strong communication and analytical skills such as an applied quantitative field, social science, humanities, psychology or communication. Top of your game when it comes to the quantitative skills you will need to excel in this role alongside the ability to coach and upskill other members of the team Strong analytical skills, with the ability to identify business questions, analyse data, draw conclusions, and develop actionable recommendations Ability to sell a range of quantitative offerings including tracking, concept testing, segmentation and statistical solutions Highly advanced Microsoft Excel skills A knack for presenting complicated data in a way that cuts through the noise and allows the audience to focus on the underlying trends and insight Strong organisational and project management skills and adherence to quality processes Gravitas and ownership of quantitative methodologies that will impress and delight client
