Job Description

The Co-Centre for Sustainable Food Systems brings together academics from multiple disciplines, including the natural sciences, trade, economics, politics, political economy and law. We are seeking an enthusiastic Nutritional Epidemiologist to work within the Nutrition and Health platform of the Co-Centre. The primary focus of this role will be to analyse the health impacts of polyphenol-rich diets among cancer survivors, using population-based studies and exploring their environmental co-benefits.
As part of a , the postholder will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of epidemiologists, nutritionists, statisticians, and food chemists, working closely with international partners. Key responsibilities will include database development, advanced statistical analyses (e.g. multivariable Cox regression, logistic regression) using R or equivalent software, and publishing findings on the relationship between polyphenol-rich diets and cardio-metabolic health in cancer survivors.
About the person:
The successful candidate must have, and your application should clearly demonstrate that you meet the following essential criteria:

  • *Have or about to obtain a PhD degree in Nutrition, Epidemiology and Health or a relevant discipline (*must be obtained within 3 months of commencement of employment).
  • Have relevant recent experience of research in nutritional epidemiology.
  • Hold a track record of high-quality publications commensurate with stage of career.

This post is available for 32 months or until 30 April 2028, whichever is soonest. Fixed term contract posts are available for the stated period in the first instance but in particular circumstances may be renewed or made permanent subject to availability of funding.
