This role will contribute to a series of studies using rich longitudinal data to explore how individual and dietary factors influence this relationship.

What you would be doing

The successful candidate will utilise data from two large, well-established UK cohorts: the UK Biobank and the Avon Longitudinal Study of Parents and Children (ALSPAC). These cohorts provide detailed, repeated measures of dietary intake, biological and clinical indicators, and a range of socio-demographic variables.
What we are looking for
---------------------------
A PhD in epidemiology, statistics, public health, nutrition, or a related discipline.
Proven experience with longitudinal data analysis and strong statistical programming skills (e.g., Stata or R).
A solid understanding of epidemiological methods, statistical analytical frameworks (e.g. time-to-event analysis, multilevel regression) and study design.
Excellent written and oral communication skills, with a track record of academic writing and presentations.
The ability to work effectively in a collaborative research environment.

The post holder will be situated in the Public Health Policy Evaluation Unit (Director, Professor Christopher Millett). Our mission is to produce high-quality research that will inform public health policy, improve health and wellbeing of populations and reduce health inequalities. PHPE is in the Department of Primary Care and Public Health (PCPH) (Head, Professor Azeem Majeed) within Imperial School of Public Health.
This is a full-time position with a fixed term contract for 24 months.
