The post holder will learn a range of skills related to research and undertake substantive pieces of research work. This role involves but not limited to, gathering data on patients in the studies within the department.
To provide skilled nursing care to ensure the safe and efficient running of research studies within the facility. This post may involve shift patterns, including occasional internal rotation onto night duty to ensure 24 hour cover (including bank holidays).
The post holder will play a key role in delivering high-quality patient care within clinical trials, ensuring all procedures are conducted safely and in line with research protocols. Responsibilities include independently managing a caseload, performing advanced clinical tasks (e.g., phlebotomy, cannulation), preparing and administering trial drugs, collecting and handling biological samples, and maintaining accurate documentation. The role also involves effective communication with patients, carers, and multidisciplinary teams, contributing to research activities, supporting training and education, and overseeing team performance and wellbeing. The successful candidate will uphold professional standards and Trust values while promoting a culture of inclusion, safety, and continuous improvement.
