Job Description


Applications are invited for a Research Technician to join Prof Gomez-Nicolas team ( ) to study the role of microglial senescence in the pathophysiology of Alzheimers disease. This is an exciting project funded by the MRC, using human iPSC-derived microglia to explore the functional consequences of senescence, in collaboration with key academic and industrial experts. Previous experience in supporting experiments using iPSCs and/or brain organoid models is highly desirable. This post offers an opportunity to gain experience of diverse techniques working in a research team within an exciting multi-disciplinary research environment, while making a significant impact on the understanding of Dementia.
The post is available for 7 months and is offered on a full-time or part-time basis.
You will have laboratory experience in a relevant area of Biomedicine. We are looking for enthusiastic and well-motivated scientists, capable of contributing substantially to supporting the project and the broader research team.
